Mila Maranello was born in Naples in
2000 and she started drawing since her
early youth. Later, she studied illustration and concept art at the Comix
Italian School and at the moment she
is attending Naples Academy of Fine
Arts.
She has been inspired first of all by
artists such as Ally McIntyre, Edward
Hopper and Francis Bacon.
Her very first personal exibition was
inagurated in Februrary 2020 at the Literary Nuts Cafè in Naples, where some
of the works, taken from the artistic cycle “Paper Life”, were exibited.
During the same year, on 23 July, there came another personal: “Woman Earth” at the Study Centre Pietro Golia, and also a virtual exibition at PAN for the cata- logue Expo 2020, an exibition at Bene Biennale, another at Sulmona Prize, the last one at CAI (Catalogue Italian Artists). In addition she contributed to Art for Aid - A work of art, for L’ Albero delle Idee e della conoscenza and for the Literary Cafè of Italy and Europe. In the early months of 2021, she planned a cohoperation with a video magazine of art, culture and social in- formation City of Red Night.
Her work ‘‘Annalisa’’, conceived for the second edition of Annalisa Durante Prize, was offered to Jorit, a well known artist in the Neapolitan cultural background. On 4 th April she was interviewed for the web magazine ‘‘Orizzonti Culturali”, by Giuseppina Capone and Afrodite Carmen Cionchin. It Is a collective interview on the contemporary condition of a woman and artist in Italy. Always in 2021, the young artist took part for the first time to an exibition in Rome - 70 insieme, dedicated to the renowned singer-songwriter Claudio Baglioni. In July the book “Il Cantico dei Cantici” by the writer Slobodanka Ciric was published and Mila Maraniello largely contributed. In fact here we have her Tavole Interlocutorie, commented by the art critic Deborah Di Bernardo. In addition, the artist, from 21 July to 6 September, is finaly in presence at PAN with Napoli Expo Art Polis 2021, organized by Daniela Wollman and Gianpasquale Greco. Again she is at PAN from 18 September to 2 October with the seventh edition of the Art Prize “Napoli Arte & Rivoluzione”. She also takes part to a Charity Event during the 16 October of “La Casa del Sorriso”-“Riaffacciamoci alla vita”. Fot this event she creates a work for Patrizio Oliva, a famous atlet, sponsor of the event. On 11 December, she takes part to an Academy of Fine Arts’s event in Naples. It is a charity event: “Pino Daniele Alive’’. All the artistic works produced for the occurrence were sold at auction in December and the money earned given for cardiopathic patients. On 6 of March 2022 she took again part to another exibition of Museum Cripta Cristo Rivelato located in Brusciano, dedicating her work against all wars.
